Focus on Precision & Productivity
Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), is a minimal impact trenchless method of installing underground utilities such as pipe, conduit, or cables in a relatively shallow arc or radius along a prescribed underground path using a surface-launched drilling rig.
Directional Boring or HDD offers significant environmental advantages over the traditional cut and cover pipeline or utility installations.
Our Services
The Horizontal Directional Drilling technique is routinely used when conventional trenching or excavation is not practical or when minimal surface disturbance is required.
AusConnect Underground Services is capable of Directional Drilling a diameter of 50mm to 1m in clay and sand and up to 250mm diameter in rock.
We are also highly trained in the installation of all conduits for all the major services.
